Simulated Stone Concrete Countertops

ONE: FORMING

We completed this form under 30 minutes using CHENG’s Concrete Countertop Forms and Wall Liners along with a little spray adhesive and double sided carpet tape.

What You’ll Need
  • CHENG Rail and Trivet Form Strips
  • Sink Knockout
  • 3/4″ Melamine
  • Surecrete Foam Forming System
  • 3M Super 77 Spray Adhesive

Step 1 – Build Countertop Form

  • Secure the foam rails to the baseboard with the double-sided tape.
  • For a smooth finish on the sink knockout, wrap the sides with Glossy Form Tape.
  • Center the Rail and Trivet Strips in the form and glue them in place with Spray Adhesive.
  • Blow out any debris with compressed air and clean out the form with denatured alcohol before casting.

Surecrete’s Veining Compound adds the right amount of color where you need it while baking soda is used to add texture to the countertop surface.
