The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) Reveals its Hall of Fame Inductees
April 12, 2006 – The National Kitchen & Bath Association has announced its inductees to one of the industry’s most prestigious award programs: the Kitchen and Bath Industry Hall of Fame. The program recognizes kitchen and bath industry professionals for their outstanding service and long-term dedication to the industry. The 2006 inductees are Fu-Tung Cheng of Cheng Design in Berkeley, CA; Thompson Price of Callier & Thompson Kitchens & Baths in Manchester, MO; and Don and Kasnea Martin of Kasmar Publications in Palm Desert, CA.
Award-winning Fu-Tung Cheng, founder of Cheng Design, Inc., is the author of the newly released Concrete at Home and the best-selling Concrete Countertops. Thompson Price is the owner and president of Callier & Thompson Kitchens, Baths & Appliances, a full-scale kitchen and bathroom remodeling company serving the St. Louis area. Don Martin established publishing company Kasmar Publications, with his wife and partner, Kasnea Martin. Kasmar produces Designer Kitchens & Baths, Designer Baths, The Kitchen Collection, and Kitchens magazines.
“Through their innovation, leadership, and commitment to excellence,” notes press material, “each individual has made significant contribution to the advancement of the kitchen and bath industry.” Currently, the Kitchen and Bath Industry Hall of Fame has 70 inductees—from inventors to innovators to designers.
Inductees were honored at the annual Kitchen/Bath Industry Show & Conference (K/BIS) in Chicago.
